What is the United Way?
The McDonough County United Way is partnered with 19 local, non-profit agencies in McDonough County. When you give to the United Way, you not only touch the lives of over 8,000 members of this community, you make an investment in McDonough County.
You reach out a hand to a hungry family, an abused child, a homeless person, a senior who can't afford their medication.
You promote healthy babies and educational supplies for day-cares.
You care about the visually impaired and families struck with disaster.
You say "I want to make this community better!"
GIVE: Many businesses can provide payroll deduction. You can sign up to give an amount from each paycheck automatically. Last year, 55% of United Way donations came from payroll deductions- It's quick, it's easy, it adds up and it changes lives!
If your workplace does not offer payroll deduction, talk to your employer about providing the option to employees.
If payroll deduction is not an option, you can make an individual donation or support United Way Events.
ADVOCATE: Once you know the great work being done by United Way funded programs, tell others about the United Way!
VOLUNTEER: The United Way is always looking for great volunteers to help with events and other needs. Contact the United Way for more information.
